Fireside chat with Robert Sawyer, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Partner

Who is Robert Sawyer?

I am a proud father of two, husband of 26 years, 20 year Marine veteran and Partner at a leading professional services firm specializing in accounting, advisory, technology, and managed services.

Tell us more about your role in Sikich?

As a Partner, I work closely with clients to create and deliver a portfolio of technology projects such as business applications, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and infrastructure from concept to delivery including services from advisory to implementation.

Additionally, I provide executive sponsorship to our engagements, and work with project managers for standardization and consistency of methodology, project delivery, and client satisfaction.

What is the most difficult part of your job? But the most rewarding one?

Difficult: Translating technology complexity into solutions for clients that align to their business needs, time frame, and budget.

Rewarding: Helping clients grow their business, increase the offering capabilities and realize even greater value from their existing business operations.

Is there anything that you would change about your professional path?

No. Travelling the world, serving my country, and having a liberal arts undergrad before business and technology has helped me to develop a unique creativity to problem solve with empathy and provide relatability with clients.

What’s your key strategy for the development of your company?

Delivering enhanced professional services in business advisory, technology, and accounting, tax and audit by leveraging transformative technology while consistently maintaining a curated client experience.

What do you think about the next period of time, keeping in mind the pandemic and the new business climate? How will your industry be affected?

From all indicators both industry metrics, business development, and work in progress, the United States will experience a manufacturing renaissance over the next 5+ years.

This will manifest itself in a continued and rapid expansion in technology investment to streamlining warehouse and manufacturing operations, more accurately forecast demand, communicate more efficiently with customers and rapidly adapt to change.

Please name a few technologies which have the greatest impact on your business

Microsoft Teams, Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain, Dynamics Customer Engagement, and PowerBI
