Georgia Elementary School to Be Renamed for Michelle Obama

A Georgia educational committee will look for authorization to rename a primary school for previous first woman Michelle Obama.

The Clayton County Board of Education casted a ballot 7-2 Monday to rename South Clayton Elementary School to Michelle Obama STEM Elementary School, media sources announced.

The board chosen Obama over previous U.S. Representative John Lewis, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution said. Two contradicting board individuals casted a ballot for naming the school to pay tribute to the social equality symbol.
